Albatron GeForce FX 5200 Ultra & 5600P Video Cards
Introduction

If you've followed the release, and launch of NVIDIA's GeForce FX, you well know it isn't exactly the best gaming chipset overall. Today we're looking at Albatron's budget solutions, the GeForce FX 5200 Ultra & GeForce FX 5600 Turbo. Albatron is now a prosperous enthusiast video card and motherboard manufacturer which has its roots based not in computers, but rather high resolution Televisions and other equipment. That was before 2002, today Albatron was kind enough to let us test their Gigi GeForce FX 5200 Ultra as well as their 5600 Turbo as part of their full line of computer products.

As we all know NVIDIA publicly announced their GeForce FX in the fall of 2002 and quickly became one of the most anticipated video cards to ever be released. The phrase “Are you ready?” seems to haunt us now after NVIDIA had delay after delay in their production facilities. Today the GeForce FX is overshadowed by almost all of ATi’s solutions however this review today will not encompass the video cards against other solutions but will be a guide for those on a budget.
