Did you like Iron Man?
Yes, it totally rocked!
Yes, although I though it could have been better.
Meh, it was just another comic book movie.
No, because they got the suit all wrong!
No, I don't like special effects movies.
I haven't seen it yet.
I don't plan on seeing it.

Tagan TurboJet TG1100-U96
Conclusion

The TurboJet TG1100-U96 in Action

On paper, the TurboJet TG1100-U96 is very impressive. So was the Titanic, and we all know how that ended! That is why I installed the TurboJet TG1100-U96 into my gaming system and gave it several weeks to show its stuff. I played a lot of Neverwinter Nights 2, ran full system backups and virus scans, and fired off multiple benchmarking programs simultaneously. My gaming system, which has a 4800+ X2 CPU with an air-cooled heatsink, a pair of XFX 7900 GT video cards in SLI mode, four internal and one external hard drives, a pair of optical drives, two 120mm and one 92mm cooling fans, and a USB keyboard and mouse, was unable to make the Tagan TurboJet TG1100-U96 break a sweat. At no time during or since I installed the Tagan PSU have I had a power-related issue with my PC. Here are the voltage numbers from my test period:

Here is a look at what Tagan's output ratings are for the TurboJet TG1100-U96 are:

Conclusion

Tagan has a fantastic product in the TurboJet TG1100-U96 power supply. It is well-made and a solid performer. The only thing I wish Tagan had done differently is the floppy drive connector adapter. In my opinion, it should use an SATA connector, rather than one of the few Molex connectors, as its source. Yes, the TurboJet TG1100-U96 us pretty expensive, but you won't have to replace it for a long time to come and it comes with a three-year warranty.

Finding the 1100W version of this PSU might be a bit of a challenge. Of all the etailers linked on the Tagan website, the only one I found a version of this PSU listed was Rackmount Net. It used to be available through Newegg, but Newegg is now suggesting the 900W version as an alternative. I am working on finding out why and will update this review as soon as I have some answers.
