At first glance, the Tagan TG1100-U96 looks very much like many other power supplies, but looks can be deceiving. Tagan used a push-pull setup for the fans in the TG1100-U96 to not only help keep it cool, but to reduce the amount of noise coming from the PSU, as well. In fact, the exhaust fan on the Tagan TurboJet TG1100-U96 looks very much like the Sharkoon fan that Jon reviewed here on LAN Addict a while back.
One of the first things I noticed was the number of connectors available on the TG1100-U96. Tagan has provided 10 SATA connectors, four Molex connectors (one shielded), a 20+4-pin motherboard connector, a four-pin auxiliary motherboard connector and an eight-pin auxiliary motherboard connector. One of the biggest features, however, are the four PCI Express video card power leads! Each lead is shielded and has its own 12V rail to draw from. That means that you can use the Tagan TurboJet TG1100-U96 to power a pair of nVIDIA 8800GTX video cards in an SLI rig!
