FSP-Group Green PS 400Watt Power Supply First Glance First Glance
Upon opening the box, you are greeted with the power supply, users guide, and a power cable. I was actually in awe, because I had never seen a 120mm fan before! The thing was HUGE (if you knew me at all, at this point you'd know that I'm running around showing the cats and dogs the huge fan *LOL*)!
After getting past my amazement, I started looking at the ratings of the PSU according to the side label printed on the PSU itself. There is plenty of power for any devices you may have in your computer! One note, following the recent trend, FSP-Group decided that the -5V rail would be sacrificed to provide a 2nd 12v rail for your devices. The PSU also come equipped with 2x SerialATA connectors, and 1x PCI-Express connector.
Installation
Installing the fan into my case was the norm, no complications. A few extra splitters here and there to give myself enough molex connectors though (this of course is not FSP-Group's fault, it's a 400W power supply, I'm kind of stretching it to run all of this)!
Due to the setup of my computer, I will not be using the PCI-Express or SerialATA connectors. I will be plugging in only the 20 pin connector, the 4 pin athlon64 connector, 6 molex connectors, and 1 floppy connector. 1 of those molex connectors will be running all of my fans (3 case, 1 barrel, and 1 cpu cooler).
