Sunbeam Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard
Conclusion

Design Note

I want to point out a very special feature of the futuristic design of the Sunbeam Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard. The design of the keyboard is such that, should you happen to spill our drink on it during the heat of battle, the liquid will flow out through holes in the bottom of the keyboard! You'll want to clean any sticky liquids up, mostly to keep them from attracting dust and dirt, but your Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard will keep on working. Getting the space-age-looking frame off of the keyboard proper in order to do any clean-up will involve removing quite a few screws, so try not to spill on the keyboard very often! ;-)

I also want to point out the power requirement of the Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard, which is pretty small at 100mA from the 5V line. That means you shouldn't encounter any difficulties if you decide to use an adapter and plug the keyboard into an open USB port.

Conclusion

The Sunbeam Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard has replaced the Saitek PC Gamer keyboard on my desktop. Yes, the Sunbeam makes a bit more noise when typing, but the ability to see the letters on the keys in a darkened room more than makes up for that triviality. I also love all of the shortcuts that are built into the Sunbeam Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard and use them very frequently. So much, in fact, that I find myself reaching for the shortcuts on my keyboard at work!

The only negative things I have to say about the Sunbeam Pro-Series Lite Up Keyboard, besides it needing a shorter name, have to do with the left Shift key and the EL on/off functionality. The EL on/off functionality I have already mentioned, but I would just like to reiterate that I would like to see this on its own key, not sharing the Scroll Lock key. As for the left Shift key, it gets stuck halfway down every once in a while. I have to hit it just right (or wrong, I guess) for this to happen, but it is something I believe is easily fixable.
