Since this case has to be completely assembled from its components, there are a few more items in the accessory box than you might be used to seeing. In addition to the screws for the motherboard and PCI slots, there are also all of the pieces of hardware necessary to put the case together.
One thing that surprised me at first was the inclusion of a pair of white cotton gloves. Once I'd thought about it for a moment, this made perfect sense. How else could Mutant Mods make sure you didn't cover your case in fingerprints while putting it together? The gloves look small, and they are, but they stretch out and amazing amount. At first, I didn't think I'd ever get my hands in them, but they ended up fitting pretty well, if a tad snugly.
The Finished Case
While I wasn't able to take pictures of the assembly process, I can tell you that putting this case together is very straightforward. The instructions are very clear and assembling the case is pretty simple, if a bit tedious. Probably the hardest part about assembling this case was making sure my screwdriver did not slip and scratch the case! It took me about two hours to finally get the case put together and another hour to install all of the components into it.
One thing I'm sure you've noticed is that there is not a lot of room inside this case. In fact, it is small enough that the power supply is mounted next to the motherboard, rather than above it. This means that you will have to choose your heatsink very carefully!
One other thing I'll mention is that installing drives in this case is not as easy as it is in a metal case. You have to hold the drive in place with one hand and get the screws going with the other. I probably made it harder than it needed to be because I was very concerned about not leaving any marks or smears on the case itself and I didn't think to get a towel to put down in the case while I was working on it.
