Introduction OCZ Technology has in the memory market since August, 2000. They have always strived to create the best products available. As enthusiasts themselves, OCZ knows just how tough hardcore PC users can be on components while trying to squeeze every last megahertz and frame per second out of their rigs. It is with this in mind that OCZ has created their Enhanced Bandwidth series of DDR RAM modules and dual channel kits. We'll be looking at the OCZ PC-3500 Platinum EB Dual Channel Memory Kit in this review. I'd like to thank Ryan Petersen at OCZ for providing the dual channel kit used in this review.
Specifications First off, let's start with the specs for this RAM, as taken from OCZ's website:
434MHz DDR CL 2.5-3-2-8* (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) Available in 512MB (2x256MB) and 1GB (2x512MB) Dual Channel Optimized Kits Unbuffered Mirrored Platinum Copper Heatspreader Lifetime Warranty 2.8 Volts 184 Pin DIMM
Take a good look at those timings because they are going to become very important when you are looking at the benchmark results coming up. The voltage is another item to take into consideration, as 2.8 Volts is near the high end of many motherboards' range for memory voltage.
