Did you like Iron Man?
Yes, it totally rocked!
Yes, although I though it could have been better.
Meh, it was just another comic book movie.
No, because they got the suit all wrong!
No, I don't like special effects movies.
I haven't seen it yet.
I don't plan on seeing it.

Corsair TwinX1024-4000PRO Memory
Introduction

Introduction

If you've been building your own PCs, or even reading hardware reviews, for any length of time at all, you've probably heard of Corsair. Corsair has been making memory for PCs since 1994. They have different lines of computer memory, for different types of users. Corsair's ValueSelect memory is for the typical user that isn't going to tweak his system much (if at all), but doesn't want to deal with memory related issues. Corsair's XMS memory is for users that demand performance, even under extreme system stress. Corsair also makes server memory for the data center folks.

We've got a two-bagger for you here on LAN Addict. I call it a two-bagger because a) spring training is in full swing and I like baseball and b) I've got two different sets of Corsair's TwinX Dual Channel Memory Kits to show you. One of them is the TwinX512-3200LLPT kit, which is a pair of 256MB sticks of low latency DDR400 RAM with platinum colored heat spreaders. While the heat spreaders may not do a whole lot for cooling the memory chips, they do protect your RAM from accidents, especially during shipping. Plus, the heat spreaders just plain look good.

The second kit is Corsair's TwinX1024-4000PRO. This kit consists of a pair of 512MB sticks of DDR500 RAM. The TwinX1024-4000PRO DIMMs come with an added bonus. Each DIMM has 18 activity LEDs on it, shading from yellow to orange to red, three pairs of each color. These LEDs are attached to the black heat spreaders that are installed on the DIMMs. If you have a windowed case, this gives you yet another set of lights for everyone to admire while you're busy fragging them! One word of caution here, Corsair's Pro line of memory is taller than the standard memory. This is because of the LEDs and the circuitry that makes them work.
