Thermalright SLK-800U Heatsink
Introduction

Thermalright SLK-800U BoxIf you've been building your own PCs for any length of time at all you've probably heard of Thermalright. Thermalright has been making CPU cooling products for a long time. Their products have won numerous awards for innovation and performance. None of this is news to anyone who has used one of Thermalright's heatsinks. Today I'll be looking at the Thermalright SLK-800U. I'd like to thank Gavin at Thermalright for providing the sample for this review.

SLK-800U componentsThe Thermalright SLK-800U is an all copper heatsink compatible with Intel's socket 478 and AMD's socket A CPUs. It comes with all the mounting hardware for both platforms. Thermalright even included a couple of foam rubber strips that can be attached to the top of the heatsink under the fan for keeping fan noise down. Unfortunately, Thermalright has chosen not to include installation instructions with the heatsink. Instead, they can be found on Thermaltake's website.
